Your Loving Kindness In The Morning
Psalm 143:8
Cause me to hear your loving kindness in the morning,
for I trust in you.
Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,
for I lift up my soul to you.
This quote is from Psalm 143:8, which is a Psalm of David. This Psalm is a plea for God's guidance and deliverance from enemies. David expresses his trust in God and asks for His guidance and protection.
David starts the Psalm by describing his distress and asking for God's merciful intervention (verses 1-4). He also acknowledges his own sins and asks for forgiveness (verses 2-3). In verse 8, David prays for God's loving kindness to be revealed to him in the morning, and for guidance on how to live his life. He is expressing a deep trust in God and a desire to be guided by Him.
In verse 10, he also express the desire to be teachable, knowing that the Lord is right beside him and that he will not be moved. He also acknowledges that God is the one who will guide him, and that he will meditate on God's deeds.
