Luke 16:10
He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.
Luke 16:10 is a verse that highlights the importance of faithfulness and honesty in one's actions, regardless of the scale of the task or responsibility.
The first part of the verse, "He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much," suggests that a person's behavior in smaller or less significant matters is indicative of how they would behave in larger or more important matters. If someone is trustworthy and responsible in small things, they are more likely to be trustworthy and responsible in larger things as well.
The second part of the verse, "He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much," implies that if someone is willing to act dishonestly or unethically in small matters, they are likely to behave similarly in more significant matters. In other words, a person's lack of integrity and honesty in small things reveals their true character and may ultimately affect their ability to handle more significant responsibilities.
This verse reminds us that our actions, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem, have an impact on our character and credibility. Therefore, it is essential to cultivate a consistent and reliable character by being faithful and honest in every task, regardless of its size or importance.
