Daily Bible Verse On Deliverance

Daily Bible Verse On Deliverance

Esther 4:14
For if you remain silent now, then relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Who knows if you haven’t come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

Esther, a Jewish woman, has become queen of Persia, but has kept her Jewish identity a secret. When she learns of a plot to annihilate the Jewish people in Persia, she is faced with a decision of whether to risk her life by revealing her identity and speaking out to try to save her people.

In this verse, Esther's cousin Mordecai is urging her to take action. He tells her that if she remains silent, the Jewish people will still be saved, but that she and her family will perish. This suggests that Esther has a personal stake in the situation beyond her loyalty to her people.

Mordecai then asks a rhetorical question: "Who knows if you haven’t come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" This question implies that Esther's position as queen is not a coincidence, but rather a part of God's plan to save the Jewish people. It suggests that Esther has been placed in this position of power for a reason, and that it is her duty to use that power to help her people.

This verse emphasizes the importance of speaking out and taking action in the face of injustice, even when it may be risky or uncomfortable. It also highlights the idea that individuals are sometimes placed in certain positions or situations for a reason, and that they have a responsibility to use their talents and resources to make a positive impact on the world around them.
