Matthew 18:20
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them.
This verse is a part of Jesus' teaching on how to deal with conflict within the Christian community. In Matthew 18:15-17, Jesus instructs his followers to first approach someone who has wronged them and try to reconcile with them privately. If that doesn't work, they should bring one or two others with them to try to resolve the conflict. And if that doesn't work, they should bring the matter before the whole community.
In verse 20, Jesus assures His disciples that when they come together in His name, even if there are only two or three of them, He will be present with them. This means that Jesus is promising to be present with His followers whenever they gather together to seek His guidance, to worship Him, or to work toward reconciling their relationships with each other.
This verse has been interpreted by many to mean that when they gather in Jesus' name, He is not just present in a symbolic or spiritual sense, but He is actually there with them in a real way. It is a reminder that we are not alone in our struggles, and that we can always turn to Jesus for guidance and support.
